World's Lowest Jitter Single-Chip Precision Clock Conditioner
(product brief pdf 419KB)
Overview
National introduces a new category of products called Precision Clock Conditioners. Representing a breakthrough in clocking technology, these precision clock conditioners are ideal for a variety of applications in wireless infrastructure, medical, and test and measurement. They are also well-suited for core, edge, and networking applications.
The precision clock conditioners integrate the jitter-cleaner/conditioner PLL, low-noise VCO, programmable clock generator, and distributor functions on a single chip. These precision clock conditioners, or frequency synthesizer timing devices, reduce clock jitter inherent in clock sources and clock distribution networks, achieving output jitter an order of magnitude better than existing timing devices.

National Clock Design Tool NEW!
National Clock Design Tool software is used to aid part selection, loop filter design, and simulation of timing device solutions. Enter desired output frequencies and optionally a reference frequency to find which National devices meet the specified requirements along with divider values and a recommended loop filter to minimize jitter.
Clock Conditioner Owner's Manual
The purpose of this manual is to help the clock system designer understand the impact of noise on clock performance and understand the trade-offs that can be made for a given application.
CodeLoader 4.1 for Clock Conditioners
National's CodeLoader 4 software is used to program the Clock Conditioners through either the USB or LPT port of a computer. Aside from this function, it is also provides information on how to program the part by showing the bits that are actually sent.
