(Code K 9/1/09) LMX-Utility Evaluation Board
The purpose of the National Semiconductor Utility Board is to add features and functionality to the standard evaluation boards. Although the layout may not be perfect for any given application, this board can save considerable time in the prototyping stage. The type of functions fall into three basic categories: LOOP FILTER FUNCTIONS, AMPLIFICATION FUNCTIONS, and RF FUNCTIONS. These sections are clearly marked by the silkscreen on the board and have distinct designators. The LOOP FILTER FUNCTIONS section is intended to allow for many different types of loop filters and all components in this section start with the prefix "LF". The AMPLIFICATION FUNCTIONS section allows for many different active filter configurations, or may be bypassed and all components in this section start with the prefix "A". The RF FUNCTIONS section allows for many different footprints of VCOs and can also be used to construct a splitter or directional coupler and all components in this section start with the prefix "RF".
