The ADC12D040 is a Dual 12-Bit, 40 MSPS, 600mW A/D Converter with internal reference and internal sample-and-hold and is offered in a 64-lead LQFP. It is designed to operate over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
This evaluation board is designed to ease the evaluation and design-in of National Semiconductor's dual 40 Msps ADC12D040 Analog-to-Digital Converter. The board can be used in either of two modes. In the Manual or Stand-alone mode the board can be used with suitable test equipment to evaluate the ADC12D040's performance. In the Computer of Automatic mode, evaluation is simplified through easy data capture and upload to a PC by connecting this board to the WaveVision Digital Interface board (order number WAVEVSN BRD 4.0 or later), which is connected to a personal computer through a USB port and using National Semiconductor's WaveVision software (version 4.0 or later) operating under Microsoft Windows. Alternatively, data capture board CLC-CAPT-PCASM may be used and connected to a personal computer through an RS-232 port.
