  • Description

    The DS90C3202 is a 3.3V single/dual FPD-Link 10-bit color receiver is designed to be used in Liquid Crystal Display TVs, LCD Monitors, Digital TVs, and Plasma Display Panel TVs. The DS90C3202 is designed to interface between the digital video processor and the display device using the low-power, low-EMI LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) interface. The DS90C3202 converts up to ten LVDS data streams back into 70 bits of parallel LVCMOS/LVTTL data. The receiver can be programmed with rising edge or falling edge clock. Optional wo-wire serial programming allows fine tuning in development and production environments. With an input clock at 135 MHz, the maximum transmission rate of each LVDS line is 945 Mbps, for an aggregate throughput rate of 9.45 Gbps (945 Mbytes/s). This allows the dual 10-bit LVDS Receiver to support resolutions up to HDTV.

    Description:

    The FLINK3V10BT-TX and FLINK3V10BT-RX are evaluation boards designed to demonstrate performance and capabilities of the DS90C3201 and DS90C3202 FPD-Link Dual Pixel Serializer/Deserializer Chipset. The DS90C3201 Serializer board (ordered under item FLINK#V10BT-TX ) accepts LVCMOS input signals and provides serialized FPD-Link LVDS data pairs as an output. The DS3202 Deserializer board (included in this kit) accepts the FPD-Link LVDS serialized data streams and converts the data back into parallel LVCMOS signals and clock. Flat Ribbon cable is provided as a generic medium for the high speed data link. Jumpers and switches on the boards can be configured for evaluation of chipset features.

    Beside the content of this evaluation board kit, a user needs to provide:

    • FLINK3VBT-TX Serializer Evaluation board with DS90C3201
    • A source of 18 bit RGB bus and clock - for example a video generator
    • LCD panel and interface from deserializer board to the panel itself, or a test equipment
    • A cable conversion board or harness scramble
    • Power supply for the board
