VIA TECHNOLOGIES AND NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR
SIGN LETTER OF INTENT FOR SALE OF CYRIX BUSINESS
June 30, 1999 - VIA Technologies, Inc. and National Semiconductor Corporation? (NYSE:NSM) today announced that they have signed a letter of intent for VIA to purchase the Cyrix? PC processor business for an undisclosed amount. Further details on the timing and structure of the transaction will be announced during the next month. VIA intends to continue to develop and market the successful line of Cyrix CPUs.
