June 22, 2007 – Through its charitable giving program, National Semiconductor Corporation’s (NYSE:NSM) U.S. employees have helped 972 schools and charitable organizations by providing donations totaling more than $950,000 in fiscal 2007. This is the highest amount ever donated through the National’s giving program (excluding disaster-relief donations) in a fiscal year.
National established its giving program in 2000 to encourage employees to make donations of cash or stock to schools and non-profit organizations. National’s charitable foundation matches employee donations. The total for fiscal 2007 represents a 3 percent increase over the prior year (excluding disaster-relief donations in fiscal 2006).
