Video Descriptions

As new FPGAs have increasingly complex power management requirements, FPGA designers, often being digital engineers, face challenges in designing adequate power supply circuits in a timely manner. National Semiconductor has developed solutions and tools to help FPGA designers address issues like voltage ramp-up monotonicity, multi-voltage sequencing and controlled soft-start, to successfully create high performance solutions that meet stringent requirements of FPGAs.

In this on-line seminar, technical power requirements for the most common FPGAs will be discussed, pairing them with the best way to address them in hardware. New key products will be featured, and design tools such as Power Expert and the FPGA Designs Guides will be reviewed. Serial digital video, LVDS, interface and networking will also be mentioned, to cover the full scope of solutions National offers for FPGAs.

Topics covered in this online seminar include:

  • FPGA Power Requirements
  • Challenges & Considerations
  • Design Solutions Implementation
  • IC Solutions
