Space - Interface RS485/422/423
National Semiconductor offers a wide range of data transmission products. For single-ended line, differential line and backplane applications, National offers a broad line of drivers, receivers and transceivers.
TIA/EIA-232 devices are designed for 10kbps single-ended data transmission over distances of up to 50 ft. TIA/EIA-422 drivers and receivers can transmit data differentially to up to 10 receivers at rates as high as 10 Mbps. TIA/EIA-485 products provide true multipoint communications with up to 32 drivers and 32 receivers connected to a single bus.

Space - Low Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS)
National's new LVDS Quad Line Driver and Receiver offer new alternatives for low-noise applications that demand high speed and low power consumption. These devices support data rates in excess of 155.5 Mbps (77MHz) using Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) technology. Compatible with IEEE 1596.3 SCI LVDS, they provide a standard pin-compatible upgrade from the DS26LS31/32, DS26F31,32 and DS26C31/32 line drivers and receivers.
