Notes:
Test site codes (S=Singapore or Z=South Portland) required for transitional QML companies. NSC usually has the QX adjacent to 883 (as shown in example) unless there are space constraints, in which case it will be located somewhere within top mark.
The 'Q Certification Indicator' is not incorporated into the SMD part number, but is placed in a variety of positions within the top mark.
Test site indicators deleted in Mar 95 (from MIL-PRF-38535C) entirely. NSC began deleting test site from top mark on a family by family basis as other mark changes were needed (i.e. xfer of SCAN, ECL, JAN B & S to Singapore).
Other Mark Changes:
July 94 NSC Worldmark/Logo Change
March 95 ESD class indicator in the mark became optional.
Ref: MIL-PRF-38535C
Jan 97 Commodity class prefix 5962 became optional if limited space available on package.
Ref: MIL-PRF-38535D, Amend 2
