The mission of the National Semiconductor Foundation, a charitable fund at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, is to improve education and address critical needs in the communities where National has a major presence. Since its creation in August 2000, the National Semiconductor Foundation has provided over $17 million to schools and charities worldwide.

The National Semiconductor Foundation has established specific focus areas that direct its funding. The majority of grants are distributed through existing programs and new partnerships that are proactively developed in local communities. The National Semiconductor Foundation is not soliciting new proposals for funding at this time. General program or organizational information can be sent to Joan Scott, Director of Community Relations: joan.p.scott@nsc.com.
