AMBA® 2.0 and CompactRISC® Compatible Peripheral Library

Home > IP Core Licensing Program > AMBA® 2.0 and CompactRISC® Compatible Peripheral Library

The AMBA on chip bus specification was created by ARM and version 2.0 has become a de-factor standard for system–chip developers because it is well documented and can be used without royalties. The peripherals in the library are well proven in many National Semiconductor devices and are compatible with the CR16 and other AMBA-compliant processors. The Library currently available through IPExtreme's Commercialization Program for licensing contains the following modules:

  • AHB Controller
  • AHB/APB Bridge
  • Internal AHB to SRAM/ROM interface
  • USART
  • uWire /SPI – Synchronous Interface
  • I2C/SMBus compliant Interface
  • CAN2.0B controller *
  • Versatile Timer Counter
  • Multi Function Timer
  • Timing & Watchdog Module
  • Real Time Timer/counter
  • Configurable GPIO module
  • External Interrupt / Wakeup Module
  • Direct Memory Access Controller
  • Interrupt Control Unit
  • Multi Unit Wake Up Module
  • Smart Card Interface
  • AHB Watcher
  • Advanced Audio Interface/I2S
