Designing communications infrastructure solutions for wireless base stations and wired data centers poses several design challenges - including how to best optimize for efficiency and deliver robust system performance. These challenges need to be addressed on the receive side of a basestation when designing with amplifiers for signal conditioning, timing products for frequency translation and clock generation, ADCs for data conversion, and power supplies for powering signal path and digital systems.

Find out how National can help meet these design challenges with its broad portfolio of devices, including the new ADC16V130 high-speed, 16-bit, 130 MSPS A/D converter for multi-carrier, multi-standard basestations.

FEATURED PRODUCTS
ADC16V130 16-bit, 130 Mega-Samples per Second (MSPS) A/D converter delivers excellent linearity performance and lowest power to enable a new class of multi-carrier GSM and multi-carrier, multi-standard wireless base station receivers. Download the reference design

LMH6517 Multi-Standard, IF and baseband, dual DVGA is designed to drive the ADC16V130 ADC in wireless basestation receive paths. The LMH6517 amplifier's OIP3 of 45 dBm at 200 MHz and low noise figure (NF) of 6 dB meet requirements of receive signal paths within multi-carrier GSM, TD- SCDMA, WDCMA and other high performance basestation designs where linearity and low-noise operation are key to maximizing receiver sensitivity.

LMK04000 Precision Clock Conditioners Low-Noise Clock Jitter Cleaner with Cascaded PLLsrovide ultra low-noise clocks without external high-performance voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO) modules. Download the reference design and learn more about low intermediate frequency receivers with this online seminar

LM25011 Wide 6 to 42V input, Constant On-Time, adjustable-output buck regulator provides ultra-fast transient response with no loop compensation required. Also features an adjustable output current up to 2A, and switching frequency adjustable to 2 MHz.

DS50PCI4011 Powerwise® PCIe Quad Repeater equalizes up to 15m of PCIe cable or 40 inches of FR-4 printed circuit board (PCB) at transmission rates up to 5 Gbps to extend the reach between box-to-box or board-to-board connections. With less than 0.18 unit intervals (UI) of residual jitter at the equalizer output, this transceiver device enables the use of lower-cost, thinner (higher gauge) PCIe cable.  This new Powerwise device is fully compliant with the PCIe standard and officially approved by the PCIe (SIG) standards.

DS64BR401 Powerwise® SAS, SATA, XAUI, FC and 6.4 Gbps Quad Repeater provides both adjustable receive equalization and transmit de-emphasis to extend reach of storage and enterprise connectivity interfaces to support over 12m of SATA/SAS cable or 40 inches of FR-4 printed circuit board (PCB). A member of National's PowerWise energy-efficient product family, the DS64BR401 offers typical power consumption of 750 mW.
