Brian L. Halla
Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer
Halla joined National in 1996. He previously served as the company’s chairman, president and chief executive officer from 1996-2005. Prior to National, he was executive vice president of the Product Group at LSI Logic Corporation, where he had worked since 1988. He was responsible for LSI Logic’s ASIC business as well as its portfolio of products for selected vertical markets. He was a key factor in the company’s development of its CoreWare® design program in which high-level individual building block chips such as microprocessors, networking controllers or video compression engines are connected together and used as “cores” to form a whole system on a single chip, one of which was the original Sony PlayStation®. Prior to joining LSI Logic, Brian was director of marketing for the Microcomputer Group at Intel Corporation where he spent 14 years. He was manager, applications engineering, at Control Data Corporation before that. Halla currently serves on the board of directors of the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) and served as its chairman in 2006 during which time, he was the industry’s lead spokesperson on issues related to U.S. technology leadership and competitiveness. He is on the board of Cisco Systems, Inc., the IEEE Noyce Award Committee and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. He also serves on the University of California at Berkeley’s Engineering and the University of Nebraska Engineering College Advisory boards. Halla has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nebraska.

Donald Macleod
President, Chief Operating Officer
Macleod joined National in 1978 and was appointed to his current position in 2005. Prior to becoming president, he was executive vice president and COO, a position to which he was appointed in 2001. Before becoming COO, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer, a position he held for 10 years. Between 1981 and 1990, Macleod held senior management positions in finance, operations and marketing for National in England, Scotland, Germany and the U.S. He was vice president, Volume Products, Europe from 1989 to 1990, and director, Management Services, Europe from 1985 to 1989. Prior to joining National, he worked for the accounting firm, KPMG Peat Marwick. Macleod is a board member and former president of the Cupertino (Calif.) Educational Endowment Foundation, which provides supplemental financial support to a school district of 15,000 students. He was a board trustee and eventually chairman of the Financial Executives Research Foundation, a research foundation of Financial Executives International from 1993-1999. A native of Scotland, he is a member of the International Advisory Board of Scottish Enterprise, a public agency responsible for economic growth in Scotland and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
He holds both a bachelor of science degree in economics and an honorary Doctor of the University degree from the University of Stirling.

Lewis Chew
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Chew has been National’s CFO since 2001 and is responsible for all financial functions of the corporation as well as investor relations and business development. Before becoming CFO, he held various positions at the company including corporate controller, director of worldwide operations finance and director of internal audit. Prior to joining National in 1997, Chew was a Partner and certified public accountant (CPA) at KPMG LLP. He joined KPMG in 1984 and served mainly technology and financial institution clients. In December 2002, Treasury and Risk Management Magazine named Chew as one of the "40 under 40" financial executives. He has been named as one of America's Best CFOs by Institutional Investor Magazine on multiple occasions. Chew holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Santa Clara University.

Edward Sweeney
Senior Vice President, Worldwide Human Resources
Edward (Eddie) Sweeney is senior vice president, worldwide human resources, for National Semiconductor Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for National's global human resources strategies and programs including employee benefits, compensation, workforce training and internal communications. Previously, he was a vice president of human resources for National Semiconductor's Central Manufacturing Technology Group and for the company's Analog Products Group. He also directly supported National's worldwide sales and marketing organization as well as the company's manufacturing facility in Greenock, Scotland. Eddie has also served as vice president of worldwide human resources at Vitria Technology, Inc., a leading supplier of integrated e-business software, and Candescent Technologies Corp., a manufacturer of flat-panel displays. Eddie has a bachelor's degree in organization behavior and a master's degree in human resources and organization development, both from the University of San Francisco.

Todd DuChene
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
DuChene is the Company's chief legal officer overseeing all legal, regulatory and government affairs. He joined National in 2008 from Solectron where he served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary. Prior to that, he was an executive officer of Fisher Scientific International and senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of OfficeMax. DuChene holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the College of Wooster and a juris doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School.

Dr. Ahmad Bahai,
National Fellow and Chief Technology Officer, NS Labs
Dr. Bahai is a Fellow and chief technologist at National Semiconductor. He is also director of National Semiconductor Labs (NS Labs). Bahai is a consulting professor at Stanford University and an adjunct professor and member of the University of California at Berkeley's Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Industrial Advisory Board. Prior to joining National, he was chief technology officer at Algorex and a technical manager at AT&T Bell Labs Advanced Wireless Communications Labs. Bahai co-invented a multi-carrier spread spectrum theory which is being used in most modern wireless systems and standards. He is the author of a text book on OFDM, "Multi-carrier Digital Communications," and served as the associate editor of IEEE Communication Letters for five years. Bahai has authored more than 60 papers in journals/conferences and holds several patents in wireless, analog, and mixed-signal processing systems. Bahai received his master's degree in electrical engineering from Imperial College, University of London in 1988 and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993.

Dennis Monticelli
National Fellow and Chief Technology Officer, Analog
Monticelli is chief technology officer for analog technologies. Monticelli received his bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1974 and joined National Semiconductor upon graduation. For 16 years he worked on a wide variety of analog and mixed-signal development projects, both as a circuit designer and as design manager. He was selected to lead the newly formed Power Management business unit in 1991 and promoted to vice president in 1995. He currently holds 20 patents in the area of circuit design and is a member of the National Semiconductor Patent Hall of Fame.

Suneil Parulekar
Senior Vice President, Analog Signal Path Group
Parulekar is senior vice president of National's Analog Signal Path Group. Parulekar joined National in 1989. He previously served as vice president of the Amplifier and Audio Products Group. Prior positions at National include director of marketing for the Mediamatics and Power Management business units and director of strategy for the Communication & Consumer Group Products. Before working for National, Parulekar was at GE-Intersil as a group marketing manager. He holds a master's degree in engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, an MBA from University of New Orleans and a bachelor's degree in engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda/India.

Detlev Kunz
Senior Vice President, Power Management Group
Kunz is senior vice president of National's Power Management Group. He previously served as the company's senior vice president of worldwide marketing and sales. Kunz joined National in 1981 and served in various management positions in analog product marketing in Germany and the UK. He later served as a corporate account manager and was promoted to the European management team in 1993 as marketing director for the company's Communications and Computing group. In 1997, he was named as director of sales for Europe, and in January 2000 was promoted to vice president and general manager for Europe. Kunz has master's degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University in Hannover, Germany.

Michael Noonen
Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing & Sales
Noonen is senior vice president of worldwide marketing and sales. Prior to this, Noonen served as vice president of National's Communication Interface division, which markets high-performance silicon solutions for communications infrastructure, including copper and optical networking. Before joining National in October 2001, Noonen was director of new markets and technologies for the commercial line of business at Cisco Systems, Inc. Noonen began his career in the semiconductor industry as a field applications engineer for NCR Microelectronics after receiving a bachelor's degree in engineering from Colorado State University.

C.S. Liu
Senior Vice President, Worldwide Manufacturing
Liu is senior vice president of worldwide manufacturing operations. He previously served as vice president and managing director for National's test and assembly facility in Melaka, Malaysia, a position to which he was appointed in 1996. Liu began his career at National in 1976 as a management trainee and subsequently worked as an assembly engineer, consumer product operations manager, analog test engineer and test engineering manager. He holds a degree in physics from Malaya University as well as a master's degree in business administration from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom.

Mohan Yegnashankaran
Senior Vice President, Technology Support
Yegnashankaran is senior vice president of worldwide technology development responsible for National's technology research and development, CAD, libraries, test, failure analysis, corporate quality assurance and reliability, and design services. Mohan brought his more than 30 year's experience in the semiconductor industry to National in 1996. Prior to this, he handled product development, test and product engineering, and failure analysis at LSI Logic Corporation. Mohan also held a variety of engineering positions at AMD Corporation and Fairchild Semiconductor. Mohan earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Bombay in India.
