National Semiconductor has been actively supporting the Bluetooth Standard for over 3 years. The LMX3162 2.4GHz ISM Band Transceiver was used to create the world’s 1st Bluetooth Qualified Radio in September 2000.
In collaboration with Digianswer A/S, National was able to offer a USB Dongle Reference Design. This partnership helped enable many early adopters of the Bluetooth Standard. National also worked with NSM Technology Ltd to support Customers looking to private brand label a finished USB Dongle, based on this reference design.
Today, this design has been superceded by National’s 2nd Generation Bluetooth product offerings, including our LMX9814 WPAN Bluetooth Module.
