How to Use WEBENCH - Select Alternate Part

On the top of each screen in WEBENCH is a navigation header that indicates in which step of the design process the user is. The steps currently highlighted in red, "Create a Design" and "Components," indicate your current place in the process. This is a side page, where you may Select an Alternate Part to replace a recommended part from the Components page.

Selecting an alternate part...

A. WEBENCH provides a list of alternate parts to replace the component in question. All parts listed are appropriate for this power supply design.

B. If another part is desired but not listed, it can be entered in as custom.

F. After selecting your alternate part, click "Update BOM," and you will return to the Components page.

E. The recommended specifications for the part are listed in red below the column headings.

C. Click the corresponding radio button to choose your desired part.

D. Click on the device name to view additional part information.
