On the top of each screen in WEBENCH is a navigation header that indicates in which step of the design process the user is.  The steps currently highlighted in red, "Create a Design" and "Components," indicate your current place in the process.  Please note that you must be signed in to reach this step.

Taking a closer look at your design...

A. WEBENCH lists a summary of your design so far, including your power supply requirements and the IC you've selected.

design components

C. External components needed for the total solution are also listed with the manufacturer name, part number, and key values.    D. If you do not wish to use the part listed in this row, click on "Select Alternate Part" for other options.  Select Alternate Part help page continue to Select Alternate Part help page

B.  These file operations allow you to edit the stored information regarding your simulation. All changes are stored automatically in your personal workspace.
COPY Create an identical design, which you can then alter for comparison.

RENAME: Change the name of this design.
ADD NOTES: Add or edit notes stored with this design.
PRINT: Print a hard copy of your design.
XML: You must have a web browser capable of displaying XML such as Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater.
SHARE THIS DESIGN: Copy your design to others by simply entering their email addresses.  Accessing Share a Design help page continue to Accessing Share a Design help page

E.   Other features on this page: A top view scaled drawing of each thermally modeled part is shown in the fifth column.  Those parts not required by WebTHERM are indicated by a Y in this column.  The component selection, as well as the operating value calculations, are done using the same algorithms as are used in Switchers Made Simple.
