The LM8000 Series Touchscreen Controllers combine high performance with the special features needed for embedded touchscreen applications. A powerful microcontroller core with on-chip 10 bit A/D, NVM configuration data storage, and hardware communications circuitry provides a turnkey, "smart controller" solution for a variety of touchscreen panels.

Our Reference Designs give you a turnkey 4-wire Resistive Touch Panel solution, with A/D operation in single-ended or differential mode, selectable external filtering, a choice of voltages and clocks, and complete host driver software.

Hand-held and portable applications can be both smaller, and lower in cost, for maximum consumer appeal. The LM8000 Series have advanced power-saving modes which minimize battery drain for extended operating time. Leading edge Chip Scale Packaging keeps board size small, with the industry's smallest 44 pin footprint.
