The COP8-PRO-COB1 kit can be ordered from National, or a National distributor:
Summary:
National's COP8-PRO-COB1 Prototyping/Target Board Kit provides the design engineer a low-cost software/hardware environment for developing and testing applications for the COP8 OTP/ROM families of microcontrollers.
Use our COP8-NSDEV Software Development Environment for code development and simulation (includes KKD's WCOP8 IDE, COP8 assembler, simulator, and emulator support) , then download .HEX files to any OTP/EPROM programmer, or a COP8 emulator. The realtime COBALT (COP8 Oriented Breadboard and Learning Tool) target board allows you to quickly design, test and implement a custom target system, or just evaluate and test your code with the integrated hardware features. It allows the user to execute COP8 code at full system speed (up to 10MHz standard. 15MHz optional) while interfacing with a variety of I/O, without designing any hardware.

Description:
COP8-NSDEV is a fully licensed Win 95/98/NT development environment for COP8, with Emulator Debugger support. It includes WCOP8 IDE, COP8 Assembler/Linker/Librarian, COP8 Instruction Level Simulator, Byte Craft COP8C-Compiler Demo, DriveWay-COP8 Device-Driver-Builder Demo, Manuals, Datasheets, Applications notes with source code, and other technical information. Develop and simulate code, then download files to either a device programmer for OTP/EPROM's, or to a realtime emulator for in-circuit debugging.
The COBALT (COP8 Oriented Breadboard And Learning Tool) board is a fully assembled, 10MHz real-time target environment (15MHz optional), with a variety of peripherals and features on-board, including regulated power, 10 LEDs, 8 pushbutton switches, MICROWIRE/Plus interface, and layout for optional RS232, and EEPROM. A generous 3"x4" breadboard area is available for custom through-hole designs, or a standard breadboard kit can be attached. A 40 pin header brings out all device signals for easy expansion.
The board comes configured for 5v operation, and requires an 8v-16v AC/DC, regulated/unregulated external source with 1/8" barrel connector or can be used stand-alone with a 9v battery (not included). It can optionally be configured for low-voltage operation. The whole package is designed to fit into a standard box enclosure.
The standard 40DIP socket supports a 28/40 DIP package, with space for a 20DIP socket. An erasable, pre-programmed COP8SGR740Q 40DIP device is included for easy startup, and immediate code development. Optionally, a COP8-EM/DM real-time emulator can be easily connected for fast and easy code debugging. Top of Page
