Summary:

National Semiconductor has teamed with emWare to create COP8.COM™, a network-enabling solution for the COP8 microcontroller using emWare's EMIT Internet and device networking technology. National's realtime reference application board, COP8-REF-COM1, demonstrates the simplicity of networking COP8-based Internet Appliances using the EMIT software architecture.

The board and its applications can be accessed and controlled with any standard Web browser using standard Internet protocols through emGateway. emGateway provides a bridge between lightweight device networks like RS232 and RS485, and TCP/IP networks. Top of Page

Description:

The kit contains a small COP8 reference board and COP8SGR7 programmed with an EMIT embedded object server and Internet Appliance application. Run Win 95/98/NT reference software, and remotely control and monitor the application over the internet using emWare's embedded EMIT® Internet software technology. Display and log results as you remotely interface with external events through a variety of input and output devices.

Use IAR's Embedded Workbench with C-Compiler (purchased seperately) to develop your own COP8SGR internet-controlled applications using Web browsers, spreadsheets, databases, or other enterprise applications. Add a COP8-PM for programming your application into a target COP8. Top of Page
