LMV1088 / LMV1089 Analog Far-Field Noise Suppression

  • Industry's first analog, dual-input microphone amp with far-field noise suppression
  • Less than 1/10th to 1/20th the power of digital solutions
  • Superior, natural voice clarity
  • 85 dB PSRR at 1 KHz, 60 dB SNR, 1% THD+N
  • Rapid system integration; no voice processing software code
  • I2C control with 4 operating modes
  • On-chip calibration circuitry and EEPROM
  • Tiny 3.5 x 3.5 mm micro SMDxt package

The LMV1088 and LMV1089 are fully analog dual-input microphone array amplifiers that reduce background acoustic noise, while delivering superb speech. They are ideal for a variety of voice communication applications including handsets, powered headsets, and mobile radios.

LMV1088: Single ended output
LMV1089: Differential output + shutdown pin

The LMV1088 and LMV1089 are easy to integrate into any handset or headset design. No extensive design or software changes are required. Part of the PowerWise® family of energy-efficient solutions, the chips  just 1 mA or 1/10th to 1/20th the power of comparable digital DSP and CPU software-based systems.

The devices have two differential input microphone amplifier channels, microphone calibration circuitry, plus far-field noise suppression (FFNS) processing circuitry. The calibration circuitry compensates for gain and frequency response variations of the microphones, eliminating the need to use expensive matched microphone sets. Calibration data is stored on-chip in EEPROM memory.
