Arrow "Simplicity" Wireless Controlled LED Ref Design on PowerWise Design TV

Replacing today's existing incandescent lighting with energy-efficient LED lighting solutions in homes and businesses would save the country billions of kilowatt-hours of energy. Wouldn't it be nice if you could replace fixtures without pulling new wire through a building? LED lighting solutions have extremely high efficiency and remain in service longer providing a lower cost of ownership over the life of the fixture. Arrow Electronics and Freescale have collaborated to create a wirelessly controlled LED based lighting reference design. This design can provide engineers with a solid starting point when converting from incandescent bulbs to LEDs in new fixture applications.
Watch this webinar as Drew Clader, Kristen Elserougi and host Rick Zarr show you how this new Wireless lighting reference design will help you reduce the time required to bring an LED based lighting solution to market. This design features the LM3407 Constant-Current Output Buck Switching Converter for High-Power LEDs.
Presenters:
Drew Clader - Technical Sales Engineer, Arrow Electronics
Kristen Elserougi - Product Line Engineer at National Semiconductor

Controller Design Using The WEBENCH Power Designer

Need a power supply quickly? Wouldn't it be nice if you could just describe the requirement and have the highest efficiency, smallest footprint, or lowest cost design created in seconds? Wouldn't it be ideal if you could simply turn a knob and optimize the design for your best price/performance point? Well, it's not fantasy. Watch this webinar and Jeff Perry, Chris Cooper and host Rick Zarr will show you how the new version of WEBENCH® Power Designer delivers Design Made Easy for voltage regulator controllers. This features the new SIMPLE SWITCHER® Controller series of parts for higher power applications.
Presenters:
Chris Cooper - Power Technology Specialist at Avnet
Jeff Perry - Senior Manager of the WEBENCH Team at National Semiconductor
Rick Zarr - PowerWise Technologist at National Semiconductor
WEBENCH tool features covered in this video:
- Easy FET selection that automatically checks shoot-through current, DC loss, FET capacitance curve
- Visual comparison of multiple design scenarios and optimization for efficiency, footprint, & BOM cost
