High-Voltage Switching Converters (Vin ≥42V) Featuring the LM5xxx Family

Today’s telecom equipment and other high-voltage systems demand greater energy savings than ever before. National’s complete selection of high voltage switching regulators and controllers are optimized to maximize efficiency and deliver robust, reliable performance. These solutions operate from 75V and endure transients of up to 100V, enabling them to directly power low voltage circuitry with no intermediate voltage required. These robust and reliable switchers enhance system efficiencies by up to 3-5% over existing solutions. High-performance switching architectures such as Emulated Current Mode (ECM) and Constant On-time (COT) deliver outstanding voltage regulation and transient response, further enhancing performance and reducing load capacitance requirements, and fixed-frequency operation with synchronization capability helps reduce EMI in noise-sensitive applications such as wireless infrastructure.
