To date it is National's understanding that products intended for Military, Defense and Aerospace applications are exempt from the global initiative to adopt the use of lead free materials. Our policy statement reflects the requirement for compliant products.
There are NO pure tin metals present in products delivered by National Semiconductor for devices supplied as compliant MIl-PRF-38538E, para A.3.5.6.3.
We will continue to closely monitor the industry groups and the U.S. government involved in this activity and advise our customers if the situation changes. Additionally, there are numerous other environmental materials that National Semiconductor product does not contain. The attached serves as a certification.
