Accident and injury prevention is one of the primary goals of National Semiconductor's occupational health and safety program. Our injury rate continues to decline and is consistently below the semiconductor industry average.
Employee Health & Wellness
National's manufacturing facilities have clinics staffed with occupational health professionals with ready access to emergency medical services, clinics and hospitals. We provide our employees with a broad range of wellness programs, services and education.
Environmental Protection
National's operations have air pollution control, water pollution control and hazardous chemical management systems in place, which meet or exceed regulatory requirements. National's program to reduce the environmental impact of our products is integrated into our EHS, quality, purchasing, and manufacturing systems. We offer a wide range of lead-free products compliant with Directive 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) and similar chemical content laws and regulations.
