National Japan Sponsors Fund-Raising Events for Children with Cancer

Oct. 25, 2006 - The Tyler Foundation is a Japan-based nonprofit organization supporting children with cancer and their families in Japan. National Semiconductor donated ¥500,000 ($4,190 USD) as a sponsor for its fund-raising event named "Sport Extravaganza" that was held from September 29 to October 1.

Incorporated as a Non Profit Organization under the laws of Japan on July 10, 2006, the Tyler Foundation is engaged in a wide variety of activities from helping families with children with cancer in hospital to providing grants for life-saving research.

This year, the organization invited sports celebrities to the fund-raising event. Juergen Heldt, Regional Vice President of National Semiconductor's Japan office said, "We are happy to have been able to contribute to making life better for children while they are fighting cancer."
