National's Fort Collins Development Center Employees Help Build Houses

About 20 Fort Collins Development Center employees dedicated their Fall afternoon this year to help build a house for low-income families.

Dec. 9, 2005 - About 20 energetic National Semiconductor employees from National's Fort Collins Development Center spent a crisp autumn afternoon roofing and working on siding trim for a couple of houses through Habitat for Humanity. As a nonprofit organization, Habitat for Humanity is an organization assisting low-income families in achieving the dream of owning their own home.

For the past decade, the National Semiconductor Fort Collins Development Center in Fort Collins, Colorado, has dedicated one afternoon in the Fall to helping others.

Fort Collins Development Center employees donate their time to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity.

Previously, the group has participated in the Fort Collins Paint-A-Thon, sorted cans at the Fort Collins Food Distribution Center, and assisted a senior shut-in by raking, hauling yard debris, and painting the exterior of her house.

The past five years, National's Crys DeKrey has arranged for Habitat for Humanity to benefit from this large group's carpentry expertise and muscle power in both interior and exterior projects.
