Code of Conduct and Ethics - Overview Home

Overview

The Code of Business Conduct was developed to provide National Semiconductor employees with the information and support necessary to act ethically and within the laws that affect our business. The principles outlined in the Code provide the foundation for understanding how to handle most business situations in the honest and professional manner expected of every National employee.

The Code applies to all of National’s non-employee directors, domestic and foreign divisions, locations and subsidiaries, and to all employees where ever they are located. National fully recognizes that laws vary from country to country and requires employees to comply with all laws applicable to their location. The Code is considered to be a minimum standard, and to the extent that National’s policies require higher standards than local law, National requires adherence to those higher standards.

An employee may submit complaints, concerns and information regarding the matters described in this Code anonymously by calling the National Ethics Help Line from anywhere in the world at 1-877-319-0269. If calling from outside the U.S., dial your country's international exit code and 1-877-319-0269; Reports may also be submitted on-line from anywhere in the world at https://secure.ethicspoint.com/en/default.asp.

At National, our message and philosophy is clear - - know what is right and do what is right.
