Beijing is located in northern China and is at its best in late spring and autumn. As the capital of the People's Republic of China, Beijing is the nation's political, economic, cultural and educational center as well as being China's most important center for international trade and communications. It has been the heart and soul of politics and society throughout its long history and as a result there is much to explore in both Beijing's ancient past and its exciting modern development.

With the biggest central square in the world - Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City is the largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex, and a superbly preserved section of the Great Wall, Beijing attracts both domestic and foreign visitors.

Despite its rich history, Beijing is a very modern city. There are towering skyscrapers, busy shopping malls and an endless stream of traffic that is the mark of all big cities. In 2008, Beijing hosted the Olympic Games, and showed the world what a special place it is.

Beijing was where National Semiconductor first established presence in the China market. Set up in 1994, the Beijing office now employs staff in field sales and applications, supporting customers in North China.

Together with offices in Shanghai and Shenzhen, the China sales offices cover businesses in China and Hong Kong.
