Automotive Infotainment

Infotainment systems which incorporate driver information, in-car entertainment, and multi-media functions, continue to evolve as customers demand more advanced infotainment platforms. To meet this demand, National has designed a wide portfolio of power, LVDS, and audio products that provide small, low-power, low-noise solutions for enhanced signal integrity, lower EMI and longer battery life. These are highly integrated, easy to use devices that allow fast time to market designs.

National's power management integrated switching ICs regulate voltages for digital domains within the infotainment system and provide the highest levels of efficiency, with low quiescent current (Iq), reduced EMI, and soft-start features for power sequencing and inrush current limiting.

National's robust single lane serializer/deserializers (SerDes) and low jitter crosspoint switches are an efficient and cost-effective way to route and switch video content to single or multiple displays in the driver and passenger compartments.

Moreover, National’s LVDS products can now be combined with Audio Boomer® Amplifier Subsystems to deliver the best audio over LVDS lines, thereby minimizing cables, weight, and improving the ease of design.
