WaveVision 5 Software: Data Acquisition and Analysis Tool

WaveVision 5 software is part of the WaveVision evaluation system that also includes WaveVision 5 Data Capture Board. The WaveVision 5 system is an easy-to-use data acquisition and analysis tool, designed to help users evaluate National Semiconductor’s Signal Path solutions.

While WaveVision 5 software continues the tradition of excellence provided by previous generations of the WaveVision software family, it is a completely new program, designed and written from the ground-up to be faster, more accurate, and provide many new and powerful features.

 

  • Provides 3 plot types: Time Domain (Scope), FFT, and Histogram
  • Up to 4 data channels per plot
  • Multiple plot windows
  • Continuous data acquisition
  • FFT averaging
  • FFT plot exclusion areas
  • Supports hardware and software signal sources
  • Provides ability to read/write hardware's control and status
  • Allows import/export of ASCII data sets, including WaveVision 4 and DRCS data
  • Supports annotations that are saved with the plot, and with the channel. Plots can include custom annotations
  • Channel data may be loaded/saved separately
  • Setup data or conditions can be saved with plot for later recall
  • Supports USB 2.0

Software Installations

Software download: WaveVision 5 Software
Note: If you have installed a previous version of WaveVision 5 software, the new version installs over previous version and preserves settings and files.

User’s Guide: WaveVison 5 Software User’s Guide contains installation, functional capabilities, and usage instructions. Additional user information can be found in the Help menu of the software.

Hardware

WaveVision 5 Software works in conjunction with WaveVision 5 High Speed Data Capture Board and allows users to evaluate National Semiconductor’s Signal Path products. WaveVision 5 Data Capture Board connects to a host PC via a USB cable, and is fully configured and controlled by WaveVision 5 Software. (Note: The WaveVision 5 software can also be used to analyze imported data in ASCII format that was collected using hardware other than the WaveVision-5 capture board).
