The ADC16DV160, with two high-speed 16-bit 160 MSPS channels, offers system designers the world’s best dynamic performance and smallest footprint (10 mm by 10 mm) to reduce system size, design complexity and development costs, while consuming less than half the power per ADC channel (650 mW) compared to competing single-channel 16-bit 160-MSPS pipeline ADCs and offering the largest input-bandwidth (1.4 GHz) and the industry’s best dynamic performance at high input frequencies. The ADC16DV160 delivers 91.2 decibels full scale (dBFS) spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR), 76.3 dBFS signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and 97.3 dBFS higher-order harmonic distortion at 197 MHz input frequency.

The 16-bit 130 MPS ADC16V130 delivers unparalleled 90.6 dBFS SFDR for multi-carrier GSM base stations and  exhibits the industry’s best spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) performance with 90.6 decibels full scale (dBFS) for a 160 MHz input frequency, and 87 dBFS guaranteed. The ADC also provides unmatched high-order harmonic distortion performance at any input frequency. In addition, the ADC16V130 consumes 755 mW, which is half the total power of competitive ADCs.

At 1.1 GHz, the ADC14V155 delivers 57 percent higher full-power bandwidth than competing 14-bit ADCs. The device also provides an industry-leading SFDR of 85 dB and SNR of 69.5 dB at an input frequency of 238 MHz. The ADC14V155, with dual data rate, parallel LVDS outputs is the latest addition to National's high-speed 14-bit ADC family, joining the ADC14155, with CMOS outputs, introduced in mid-2006.

The 12-bit ADC12C170 with parallel CMOS outputs and 12-bit ADC12V170 with dual data rate, parallel LVDS outputs offer the industry's highest SFDR above 250 MHz input frequencies. Compared to competitive devices, the ADC12C170 at 84.1 dB offers 5.5 dB better SFDR and the ADC12V170 at 83 dB offers 3.8 dB better SFDR at an input frequency of 250 MHz.

The octal 12-bit 50 MSPS ADC12EU050 Continuous-Time Sigma-Delta (also known as delta-sigma) A/D converter consumes just 44 mW/channel--30% less power than existing ADCs--while delivering excellent 70 dBFS SNR dynamic performance. The IC also features inherent anti-aliasing filtering, quiet resistive inputs, and integrated PLL+VCO--dramatically reducing external component costs.

The ADC10DV200 is a monolithic analog-to-digital converter capable of converting two analog input signals into 10-bit digital words at rates up to 200 MSPS. The digital output mode is selectable as either differential LVDS or CMOS signals. This converter uses a differential, pipelined architecture with digital error correction and an on-chip sample-and-hold circuit to minimize die size and power consumption while providing excellent dynamic performance. A unique sample-and-hold stage yields a full-power bandwidth of 900 MHz.

These ADCs are well-matched to work with National's high-speed op amps and highly-integrated clock conditioners, such as the single-chip LMK04000, to provide a complete signal-path system solution.
