High-Speed A/D Converter (ADC) Evaluation Boards

Introduction:
National's Data Conversion evaluation boards are designed to help ease the evaluation and design-in of National's A/D Converters and D/A Converters.

 

The A/D converter evaluation boards can be used in either of two modes. The first mode is the Manual or Stand Alone mode where the board can be used with suitable test equipment to evaluate the A/D converter's performance. The second mode is the Computer or Automatic mode. In this mode, evaluation is simplified by connecting the board to the WaveVision Digital Interface Board (see the Data Capture Board andSoftware columns to find the appropriate version to use), which is connected to a personal computer through a serial communication port.

How to find the right evaluation board:
Select the type of A/D Converter or D/A Converter from the table above to find links to order an evaluation board or data capture board, download the users' guide, view product folders, and download the appropriate version of the WaveVision software.

WaveVision3 and WaveVision4 Data Capture Board compatibility:

The WaveVision4 Data Capture System was designed so that it could be used with the majority of the older WaveVision3 system evaluation boards. Doing this is a relatively simple task, but certain cautions need to be ovserved and not all of the older evaluation boards will work well with the WaveVision4 Data Capture System. This document (click here) explains how to use the WaveVision4 Data Capture System with evaluation boards designed for the WaveVision3 Data Capture System.
