Description: Feedback control for switching regulators using a buck regulator example. Error signal and amplification. Duty cycle modulation. Small signal concepts - injecting a pertabation and observing the responses. Power stage model - two poles.

About the Instructor: Dongbing Zhang is an applications engineer working for the Low Voltage group of Power Management. He joined National in 1996 after getting his Master's degree from Virginia Tech, and has since mostly been working on the development of switching power supply controllers, especially PC-related.
Alex Gao graduated from Arizona State University with a Ph.D degree in Power Electronics. He joined National in October 2005. He is now a senior application engineer in Power Management group.
