Current Mode Control of Buck Regulators

Current Mode Control of Buck Regulators

Objective: You will learn how current mode control works and what is the sub-harmonic oscillations and the fix. You will also learn power stage small signal model and the compensation design. You will be able to describe to a customer the advantages of current mode control.

Description: Peak current mode control for switching regulators using a buck regulator example. Current command concept. Reduced order power stage. Power stage small signal model. Peak current mode vs. voltage mode.
