Presenter: Dick McCartney is responsible for strategic technology development for display applications. He has more than 20 years of experience, 8 display-related patents and a number of published papers. He received the H.W. Sweat Scientist and Engineer Award and other honors for his work on the Boeing 777 flat-panel designs. He has lectured on LCD displays extensively at university and industry forums both in the U.S. and Asia. Dick is an active member of the Society for Information Display (SID), where he has served as past-program chair and guest editor of the Journal of SID. McCartney is the general chair for the International SID 2005 Symposium.
