Overview: This seminar will explore the effects of signal integrity and circuit design upon noise in mixed signal environments. We will look into some of the common causes of noise, such as the skin effect, the proximity effect and power supply and ground considerations. We will also look at a common yet little-known EMI problem. You will come away with some key circuit and layout rules to enhance system quality and reliability.

Presenter: Nick Gray, is a Staff Applications Engineer with National Semiconductor's Data Conversion Products Group in Santa Clara, California, where he has been employed for the past 11 years. He is currently working on the development of new products in the area of Analog-to-Digital Converters. A writer of many technical articles, Nick's career includes video circuit design and 19 years as an applications engineer for data conversion products.
